Testfreaks, currently in alpha, is a consumer product review site where information will be aggregated and presented for those researching items to buy. Thye have raised $2.8 million in funding from Northzone Ventures.

Created by the creators of PriceRunner, also a consumer product review site, Testfreaks aims to incorporate as much information about a given product as possible. This will include reviews from expert publications, blogs, and users. Testfreaks wants to include some social aspects along side product reviews, and they plan to do so with wikis, forums, user profiles, recommendation tools and video reviews. They will also incorporate a way for users to gain credibility based on their site interaction and reviews.

The site is still in alpha mode, and doesn't yet have much to offer. Testfreaks is currently focusing on their discussions forum, where anyone can join, and a select group of developers will be chosen to test out the site. They're smart to include plans for community features, especially those that allow individuals to gain an expert status of their own, as this could be a cornerstone for the growth of their site. Others in this space include Buzillions, Wize, which aggregates expert and user reviews, Krillion, and ExpoTV, which specializes in video reviews.
