At least one person has died after a tornado whipped through the North Texas town of Cisco and several others remain unaccounted for, according to local authorities.
The twister touched down in rural Eastland County Saturday evening, just minutes before a second tornado struck near Wichita Falls in Wichita County. While a thorough damage assessment has yet to be completed, it's clear that several homes have been destroyed, public safety officials told The Associated Press.

The National Weather Service was warning of multiple tornadoes in the Great Plains region from Texas to Oklahoma to Kansas throughout Saturday. Unprecedented flooding and tornadoes in Oklahoma earlier this week left a trail of destruction, with one woman drowning in her storm shelter.
The storm containing the Cisco tornado was accompanied by hail as large as oranges, according to National Weather Service spotters.
