Cross-Browser Rich Text Editor - Offers all the basics you need for quick editing and allows you to view the source also for easy copying.
Editez - Requires Active X controls to save anything. Includes French accents, and has a clean and crisp interface.
FCKeditor.com - Lots of features, support for numerous languages, toolbar selection, and even skins. A highly customizable online editor.
Jtageditor - A text editor with heavy leanings to the HTML editing side of things. From the same people behind Editez.
MonkeyTex.com - Works with LaTeX files to create PDF files, and you can create them on the fly with MoneyTex.
Pote.com - You can't get more basic than this one. It requires free registration to get in, and then all of the controls are the yellow words down at the bottom, and they are about as beginner as you can get.
TypeIt.org - A text editor that focuses on typing characters from foreign languages. Includes Czech, French, German, IPA (English), Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.
