Utah Valley University has a texting problem.

In an effort to curb the traffic jams caused by slow moving texters, the university has divided a campus staircase into three lanes: walk, run and text.

wether you walk run or text your way into the SLWC...we are happy to see you! thnx UVU Marketing we love the addition to the steps A photo posted by UVU SLWC (@uvusl) on May 14, 2015 at 10:02am PDT

As many commenters have pointed out, the university seems to have made a glaring omission in not allowing a lane for anyone walking down the stairs. Also, it seems like the running lane shouldn't be in the middle, but that's just our opinion, you know?

The school's creative director told Time that the signage is meant to be an art project, rather than official policy.
