Most of us guard our cell phone numbers like a mama lion. Those privileged numbers are only saved for the coolest of friends and the best of buddies. We don't usually hand it out like candy to passersby or those creepy dudes at bars.

The creator of the blog Textastrophe is teaching those liberal number-giver-outers a lesson or two with some amusing (and painfully awkward) texting pranks.
"People trustfully place their phone numbers for the rest of the world to see, in hopes to conduct some form of business," the creator -- who wishes to remain anonymous -- told Mashable. "Textastrophe is just a way of uncovering the hilarious relationships one can have with these unwary strangers. It brings a novel and modern-day spin on the age-old practical joke."
Hopefully, these odd encounters will make you a little more weary of where you leave your digits laying around from now on -- lest you be Textastrophe's next victim.
