We asked and you thanked: Our favorites from the American Greetings ThankList challenge

Let it be known: Expressing gratitude is easy.

Last week, Mashable and American Greetings challenged the world to put on their thanking caps and tweet out some much deserved –- and probably overdue -– thank you notes with the #ThankList.

The response was overwhelming.

Swarms of Twitter users cast aside their excuses and carved out a little time to show appreciation for the people who matter most to them: family, friends, mentors and inspirations. Using the #ThankList, we created a massive display of thankfulness for the entire Internet to see.

And while every note is unique and meaningful in its own way, we wanted to share 13 tweets that we think are extra thankful.
