This weekend, take the messy and creative opportunity to play with your meal under a camera lens. Whether you're home for Thanksgiving, or plan to dine out, one thing is certain: There will be food.

So share your best six seconds on Vine; here are some styles to consider: Picasso-inspired food art, a video of your festive dining table and animated dishes.

For those who celebrate Thanksgiving, use the feasting holiday to your advantage. Make your green-bean casserole dance around in its porcelain dish, or have your bowl of mashed potatoes transform into its original solid form.

Our guest host Erik Larsen, better known as TheCupcakeDude on Vine, brought his turkey back to life.

Several years ago, Larsen started a local cupcake-delivery service in Salt Lake City, Utah. You may have seen him on Cupcake Wars, as he's appeared on the show three times. Larsen's love for baking led him to discover the fun in recording the process, so when he found Vine, it was a match made in heaven.

Larsen's Vine feed, unsurprisingly, focuses on food. But he's also experimented with other "Vine-able" content, including stop-motion animation, fun skits with his wife and daughter, sketches, paintings and travel videos.

"I love that because of Vine, I can make great stop motion right on my phone," he said.

Tips from Larsen

1. Be creative! Show us every aspect of your meal -- where you get the food, how you make it, how you present it and even how you eat it.

2. You can make your food look crazy, or just make it look delicious. Who needs a 30-minute cooking show when we can have a six-second one?
