Thanksgiving weekend might very well be the laziest time of year, and to support us in our endeavor to do as little as possible, the television networks have curated a weekend of programming that could serve almost every basic desire you might have -- laughs, tears and even clones.

Below, Mashable has gathered a list of highlights. Count this as just another reason to give thanks for your favorite mild-mannered media source this Thanksgiving. We love you, too.

Best of the best

Charlie Brown Thanksgiving

(Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 7 p.m. ET on ABC)

The Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special is almost as important of a tradition as turkey itself.

Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving

(Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 9 p.m. ET on NBC)

After watching the Making of Peter Pan Live special airing at 8 p.m. ET, you'll probably be ready to laugh intentionally, so stick around for this helping of Thanksgiving sketches. You'll likely especially need a chuckle if you happened to spend Wednesday trekking to your destination of choice.

The Simpsons

(Thursday, Nov. 27 at 4p.m. ET on FXX)

This mini-marathon may pale in comparison to the Every Simpsons Ever event back in late August, but who can argue with spending some time with the Simpsons while sitting around your own sometimes crude but loving family.

Cause for Paws

(Thursday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX)

Co-hosted by Hilary Swank and Jane Lynch, this special about rescue dogs is sure to provide heaps of warm and fuzzies. There will be inspiring and funny stories, rescue dog viral videos, and celeb participants, all to honor the four-legged friends who bring so much joy into the lives of the families who give them a home. Basically, get ready to cry.

Orphan Black's 'Black Friday'

(Friday, Nov. 28 at midnight ET on BBC America)

Orphan Black says thank you to fans by airing their six favorite episodes from the first two seasons, voted on via social media. During the lineup, fan tribute videos to the series will also air (including a few from some celebrity fans) and there will also be special appearances by the Orphan Black creators and cast from the set of Season 3.
