SYDNEY -- There is a pie fight going down in Australia.
On Wednesday night, the local version of the television show The Bachelor, where 24 beautiful women fight for one man, aired a segment which has riled up pie lovers everywhere.
Dressed to the nines, Laurina--the last names of competing ladies are not used on the show-- was taken on a date by Bachelor hunk, 31-year-old Blake Garvey. A true Aussie, Garvey decided the perfect place to take this princess was to the iconic Harry's Cafe de Wheels pie van.
Clearly embarrassed by the way she was dressed and feeling jealousy toward the glamour dates chosen for the other ladies, Laurina could not hold back her disgust.
The look on Laurina's face was priceless, as she muttered the words: “Everyone else gets Ferraris, super yachts and private jets, and I get a dirty street pie.”
Cue a social media and meme frenzy, with the hashtag #DirtyStreetPie trending on Twitter.

The pie shop, which has hosted celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Sir Elton John and Colonel Sanders, defended itself as the perfect first date location and it seems the women of Australia agreed. They'd happily eat a "dirty street pie" any day.
Harry’s owner Michael Hannah told News Limited they had received a load of emails from single young women saying "they'd kill to dress up and go to Harry's for a pie."
“Where else would you take your girl for a good night out?” he said. “That used to be the way to impress a girl, especially after a ball or big social gathering, and you had your penguin suit on. Harry’s was the ideal date, a real tradition.”
