For many young singles, Tinder is a dry, barren, wasteland. Every glimmer of hope is a photoshopped mirage. What looks like a match is just an illusion. Swipe left, swipe right, it’s all the same. There is no escape. There is only surrender.
Still, 2015 gave us a few stellar Tinder profiles, bringing love and light to the world. Some were simply hilarious, others were thankfully grotesque. About 90% of our nominees included a mini-animal or carbohydrate snack. God bless them all. Here’s a look at the ones that relieved our boredom, assuaged our despair, and gave us hope for love and for chilling in the New Year.
