I was putting together the Social Media Crime Blotter this evening, and this gem bubbled up. I'm not sure how it escaped my radar during the week, but I'm going to chalk it up to the head cold I've been fighting off the last couple of days.

As the allegations go, Facebook was attacked over 200,000 times, and each attack attempt "sought to direct Facebook's computers to send information on other Facebook users back to [the company's Internet Protocol] address," according to court documents. Several members, partners and employees of the company were named in the suit of SlickCash.

Here's the kicker, though: The suit states that Facebook suffered damages in "excess of $5,000."

Sort of makes you wonder about the $15 Billion valuation of Facebook when they're filing lawsuits for $5,000.
