It's tough to make an iconic horror film like The Shining any more likely to give viewers nightmares. But as the short film The Chickening proves, even Stanley Kubrick's masterpiece could have been much, much weirder.

The Chickening reimagines the plot of the original film, turning Jack Torrance into the night manager for "Charbay's Chicken World," a fast food theme park. But as Jack's son (now sporting a full beard and a dirty mouth) discovers, the fast food chain's special hot sauce called "The Shiny" may be turning people into chicken monsters. The rest is...hard to describe.
