The wait is over. The Cure has finally announced details for the band's first North American tour in eight years.
Robert Smith's group is starting the tour on May 11, 2016 in New Orleans, then working its way through Texas before heading up the west coast. The Cure will perform 27 shows in 22 North American cities.

Scottish rock band The Twilight Sad will be the opening act throughout the tour. Robert Smith covered a Twilight Sad track, "There's a Girl in the Corner," earlier this year.
Here's the full tour lineup, with some venue locations still undetermined. There will also be a show in Seattle, but date and venue have not been announced yet.
