LOS ANGELES -- Think you can compete with Barry Allen?
To promote next month's premiere of The Flash, the CW, working with Two Bit Circus and media agency OMD, have created a mobile installation that'll give you the chance to find out.
Starting Saturday outside the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, up to 20 people at a time can step inside the S.T.A.R. Labs mobile research unit to get a taste of what it's like to have super speed.
After iHeartRadio, the truck will move on to USC on Sept. 27 and be at Long Beach Comic-Con the day after.
As you walk into the environment, the first thing you see is a dripping faucet that's been synched with a strobe -- to give you a bit of an idea what falling water might look like to The Flash.

The installation is loaded with cool details right from the actual set design, like engraved illuminated glass instruction panels:

This reflex-testing game reminds me of Tempest -- anyone remember Tempest? -- and Two Bit Circus designer Eric Gradman was clearly the flashiest player:
Moving on, test your speed-reading skills with these panels that show words onscreen at varying speeds. Between 400 and 800 words per minute, it starts to get a little blurry:
But the real heart-pounder was trying to dodge (or catch, if you're showoffy) a speeding foam arrow.
As you can see, Gradman didn't even get moving in time:
But if you click through my tweet here, you'll see it's doable (OK, I may have had a bit of warning).
They tried to shoot an arrow at me at the S.T.A.R. Labs Mobile Research Unit BUT MY REFLEXES WERE TOO GOOD http://t.co/ZGH8Slj30w #TheFlash
