SYDNEY -- This could have been a legendary whisky ad.

Two 18th-century cowboys meet in a bar and knock back a couple of stiff ones before the inebriated exploration of "The Good, The Fad and The Ugly."

Created by Australian advertising agency BCM for a client seminar, this beautifully constructed video of two inebriated cowboys examines the technology overwhelming our lives and the increasing ridiculousness of our dependence on everything we can fit on our person.

Shaun McMahon, the script writer behind the five-minute video, said:

"You spend weeks on end trailing through a desert wasteland, hunting down wanted criminals. Putting your life on the line for a relative pittance in bounty money. You come home and find out your wife has left you for some scum-sucking gutter-trash she met on Tinder. What else are you going to do, except hit a bar, update your Facebook status to ’single’ and knock back a few whiskeys?"

Precisely.
