We're about to find out who is and who is not, in fact, a gold digger.
The marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West is on at the Belvedere Fort in Florence, Italy, on Saturday, May 24, the Associated Press reported Friday.
A Protestant minister will administer the nuptials and, presuming they begin around 5 p.m. Florence time, you have exactly this much time to speak or forever hold your peace:
The ceremony will be held at the 16th Century structure’s Boboli Gardens, which Kimye threw down more than $400,000 just to rent -- a king’s ransom that probably does not factor in the cost of catering, flowers, security, anti-helicopter artillery and last-minute lasering.
The AP confirmed the ceremony through Elisa Di Lupo, spokeswoman for the Florence mayor’s office.
Oh, and you can bet it will be spectacular.
West proposed to Kardashian in October on her 33rd birthday by renting out AT&T Park in San Francisco. While the rapper is going off the market for the first time in his 36 years, it’s the third (and final?) marriage for Kardashian, who was married to music producer Damon Thomas from 2000 to 2003 and spent 72 blissful days with now-Boston Celtic forward Kris Humphries in 2011.
Kamp Kimye isn’t konfirming, but the AP reported that West told Florence's La Nazione newspaper that he is "very excited. But very happy" about what’s to come on May 24. He also said they were especially fond of Florence because their daughter (and potential wee flower girl) North -- who will turn 1 about a month after her parents are wed -- was conceived "among the Renaissance masterpieces."
If Michelangelo only knew what he had inspired.
