It's not from Marvel or DC, its Hall H panel did not include Jennifer Lawrence or Kristen Stewart, and yet The Maze Runner was one of the most talked-about films to come out of Comic-Con on social media.
That speaks to the strength of the following that James Dashner's dystopian young-adult fiction has as Fox prepares to launch its film adaptation in September. It also helps that the footage Fox showed in Hall H gave us a first good, long look at the Grievers, the maze's half-mechanical slug monsters that chase boys at night.
Fox released a second trailer on Tuesday, the first to show us a tiiiiny glimpse of the nasty, overgrown robugs. Have a look -- if you can see through your fingers:
It's not much -- at Comic-Con, Fox showed us the Grievers in full form. They have the toothy face that kind of resembles the Kraken from 2010's Clash of the Titans, with a fat, gooey, slug-like body borne on chunky mechanical spider-legs. They are fast, loud and look like they'd make lousy housepets.
The trailer doesn't show us a Griever's ... face? ... but we do see a flash of those creepy-crawly legs:

And a harrowing glimpse of what they're capable of doing to a teen boy who should've stayed in the Glade.
