What if The Office had starred Seth Rogen instead of Rainn Wilson as hilarious spaz Dwight Schrute? What if Bob Odenkirk had played Michael Scott? What if John Cho had played Jim Halpert?
That sounds like some alternate reality, and the world as we know it today would likely be a radically different place. But it also almost happened.

The video, above, shows some never-before-seen auditions by Rogen, Odenkirk, Cho, Adam Scott, Eric Stonestreet and Kathryn Hahn for roles in The Office way back in the fall of 2003.
None of them got the parts, obviously, but the clip is fascinating to watch -- not just to imagine what might have been, but also to reflect on how much success all these stars achieved after a minor setback.
