One of the few fish that wants to hang with sharks this Shark Week

Shark Week is upon us, and while the kings and queens of the ocean are getting their annual week in the sun, most sea creatures lower on the food chain will likely prefer to stay far away from them.  Except for one, of course.

The remora, or suckerfish, has a special symbiotic relationship with sharks of all species, from the powerful predators like the lemon shark to the more docile whale shark. Remoras get to swim near or catch a ride with host sharks as well as feed off parasites or food scraps that might be lingering around.
