Would 'The Revenant' as an old-timey silent movie still get an Oscar nom?

Remember the good ol' days before movies had gigantic budgets and spectacular special effects? Neither do we. But there was once a time when films were much simpler and had no audio other than a snazzy piano accompaniment, often played live in the cinema.

This Oscar season there's a lot of buzz around the film The Revenant, so "Trailer Mix" dared to wonder how the film would look if it were made during the golden silent film era in this reimagined trailer. We'd like to think that Leo DiCaprio would still earn a nomination for this version.
