The Rock Tweets Details of Preposterous 'Hercules' Training Diet

Actor Dwayne Johnson -- perhaps better known as WWE wrestling star The Rock -- is currently filming his upcoming flick Hercules: The Thracian Wars in Budapest.

Johnson needs to get buff -- even more so than usual -- to play the film's title role, so he's working out a lot. But he's also eating a lot. A lot. He recently shared just how much with his 5 million Twitter followers.

On Monday, he posted about his seven-meal-per-day regimen:

My current 22 week diet for the role of HERCULES. Cardio & iron before going to set. (Lion blood is optional;) pic.twitter.com/HaklgWPJW0— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) June 24, 2013

If you're scoring at home, that breaks down to a daily intake of:

3.1 pounds of meat

14 egg whites

5.5 cups of rice

4 cups of green vegetables

2 baked potatoes

30 additional grams of protein, in shake form

(The Nemean lion is a fictional beast killed by Hercules, so he's not actually drinking its blood ... we think.)

But Johnson doesn't prepare all that food himself -- he has a personal chef for that. Here's what it all looks like in pre-packaged delivery form.

7 meals a day (+1 shake). Thank U Chef Bogi for all the hard work while Im shooting HERCULES. #DemiGodDiet pic.twitter.com/F9MI5dSBzr— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) June 23, 2013
