There's something poetic about a man nicknamed The Rock dressing up as a flower -- but we're too busy laughing to think about it too deeply.

How this never-before-seen sketch starring Dwayne Johnson ended up on the cutting room floor is beyond us. But we're thankful it's finally seeing the light of day here on Mashable.

In the sketch, cut from Johnson's March hosting gig, the action star shows his softer side as a daisy dancer in a pageant. It's not long, however, before the dancers' inner monologues reveal the contents of their wilting souls.

Choice quote: "My sister's a prostitute. I look down on her because she gets paid for sex. But I do this for free."

Vanessa Bayer, Aidy Bryant, and Kenan Thompson also appear in the sketch.

Watch above, and return to Mashable every Monday afternoon for more cut-for-time gems from SNL Season 40.
