The Simpsons found a short but touching way to honor the people of Paris in its latest episode.

The moment came a little more than halfway through Sunday's episode, "Lisa with an 'S.'"

In the episode, Lisa Simpson found herself under the mentorship of a Broadway legend who promised to hone her talent. At one point, the two even set off for New York City.

The marquees for several Broadway shows flash in a short montage, including one for a production titled "Lafayette." The signage for the production features the art of Jean Jullien, whose Eiffel Tower peace sign has become an iconic symbol of sorts in wake of the attacks that left at least 129 people dead.

The Simpsons has always been quick to respond to the world's all-too-frequent tragedies with poignant signs of respect and most recently paid tribute to the victims of the Charlie Hebdo attacks.
