Electronic Arts finally dropped info on a Mac version of The Sims 4 -- OS X users will only have to wait a month to create their own Sims families.

The February release timeframe isn't very specific, but EA did say Windows PC players who already own The Sims 4 could download the Mac version for free. The game retails for $59.99.

The Sims 4, which came out last September, upgrades the wildly popular simulation game by adding more options for character customization and adding more emotional options for your Sims. It also made changes to the building tools to allow for easier home construction.

EA also announced an outdoors-themed expansion for PC players, called "Outdoor Retreat." Users will get access to camping gear like tents, outdoor activities including star gazing and -- most importantly -- bear costumes. The expansion costs $19.99 and is available Tuesday
