Nonetheless, the software and digital content industry is insistent on using scare tactics, like informing young people that copying software will result in your mom being dragged away by a SWAT team.

That's one of many claims made in a truly cringe-worthy attempt at hipness from the Software and Information Industry Association, in its new video "Don't Copy That 2". First picked up by a Newsweek blog this week, the video is going viral on news sites like Digg, where the submitter declared it the "Worst Anti-Piracy Ad Ever".

We're not sure why the SIIA chose to feature rapping in a video made in 2009. Nor do we know why the creators thought adding Klingons would improve matters. Frankly, we're at a loss to explain this one... let us know your thoughts in the comments.
