ThinkFree, the web-based document creator and management tool, will announce today their integration with WordPress blogs, providing a Viewer Plugin.
The ThinkFree Plugin allows bloggers to embed MS Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations for visitors to view without needing Office or Acrobat. WordPress has also listed Viewer as an official extension in its Plugin Directory. Also, any uploaded documents will be automatically converted and indexed in ThinkFree Docs (still in unreleased beta), their online service and community for content creators to share their work (like Flickr for docs).
In addition to offering a Plugin for Wordpress, ThinkFree is openly offering its Viewer API for web services to mashup with other applications. ThinkFree APIs are also available to web designers to incorporate Viewer Imagine, allowing several file types to be integrated directly within a service regardless of the operating system. ThinkFree Viewer APIs enable anyone to see the original files in their original format as well. What a week for APIs.
