Mozilla has just released their latest version of their open source email service, Thunderbird 2.

With this new release, Thunderbird has a long list of features they've added to improve their service. Among them are advanced folder views, giving you several ways to organize and display your folders, by favorites, recently viewed, or unread. They also have message tagging, with descriptors such as "to do" or "done" or create your own tag. Thunderbird has also included a message history navigation that works much like your browser "back" and "forward" buttons, and saved searches, which allows you to store searches as a folder for later access. Thunderbird has also made it easier to access your other email accounts, such as GMail, through their service, simply by inserting your username and password.

Thunderbird 2 has also beefed up its security and privacy measures, and has incorporated a few customization features for you to change the look of your email account settings and even listen to music and place VoIP calls.
