Simon Kerbel over at Download Squad pointed me to this today, which is essentially the service is used as a reminder system, in it's essence, but it can also be used as a way to send off messages you'll know you'll need to send in the future, but won't be able to remind yourself to do. This is something immensely useful to me, as I am great at remember dates, but often forget what day it is (several times, I've forgotten my own birthday). Using the system to send my mom a happy birthday email (and myself one to remind me to attend the party) will save me a lot of money on flowers and apology cards.
But as in CyberPunk and Shadowrun, you can also use the system to send off emails or even make blog posts during times you'll be away from an Internet connection or a computer, or even a sort of dead-man's-switch. Headed down to the Caribbean for a week or two? Why get highway robbed into paying for the $5 a minute Internet cafes down there when you can pre-write your stories for the week and schedule them to be mailed to your email-to-blog address and posted?
