Temperatures in New York City are floating around the mid 80s today, but it seems to be sweltering in the federal court where Tom Brady's "DeflateGate" scandal hearing is being held because his face is clearly melting in this courtroom sketch.
The sketch, drawn by professional artist Jane Rosenberg, who has had profiles of her work in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, Huffington Post and NY Daily News, has been getting a lot of flack on Twitter, mostly because Rosenberg's representation of Brady, who is generally considered an attractive individual, is anything but pretty.

Fittingly, the Internet quickly compared the pastel sketch of Brady to everything from Quasimodo to E.T. and even Edvard Munch's subject in his famous painting The Scream.

Rosenberg agreed that Brady is an attractive man. She told Mashable in an interview that "it's hard to make him look as beautiful as he is." She added that she has a "harder time sketching beautiful people" and that "it seemed like Brady was on his phone the whole time."
In federal court cases in America, cameras are not permitted, giving the artist's sketch one of the only ways for the public to peer inside the closed doors of the courtroom.
We should add that these sketches are done quickly, and there is no time to alter them after the court proceedings. Rosenberg, who told Mashable that she "doesn't Twitter," also said said, "I guess i should have spent more time."
