America's sweetheart Tom Hanks stealthily took to Reddit yesterday afternoon to take part in about a dozen separate threads.

From dissing Pop Tarts to giving advice to anyone experiencing a sore throat, Hanks had a lot to say about a lot of things.

Hanks started things off on the thread "What's your favorite movie starring a well known actor that doesn't usually come up when talking about their careers?" with a comment about the under-appreciation of 1996's That Thing You Do.

Users understandably freaked out in the presence of their film deity, but Hanks was just getting started. In a thread asking for "little-known facts about jobs," he dropped some knowledge about the difficulty in recording ADR.

For the hour or so Hanks was on, he jumped around various subreddits and threads, never calling too much attention to the fact that he was Tom Hanks. He even created a "scary six-word story" on one thread, giving every living redditor the ability to say that Tom Hanks has written a short story for them.

Bless you, Tom.
