Oh, Tone.

In a St. Patrick's Day video message so bad you would think someone had leaked it, Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott does his best impression of an awkward dad using Skype for the first time.

The message, which is being dubbed "patronising" by Irish folk, sees the climate change sceptic donning a green tie and joking "it's safe to say this is the one day of the year when it’s good to be green." Right.

But that is just the start. He then addresses the Irish contributions to Australia -- good humour, songs and Guinness. "I'm sorry I can't be there to share a Guinness or two... or maybe three," Abbott concludes, in regards to his absence from the two major St. Patrick's Day events.
