Well, technology has come a long way since 1955 -- and since last year, for that matter -- making it easier for even the most computer-challenged wassailers to log in and watch Mr. Claus navigate his way from the North Pole.

In the past, Google's Santa-tracking service has included "Santa-cam" videos, SketchUp models of the big guy's sleigh and North Pole digs and a feed of Santa's movements from NORAD headquarters. And while there are several ways to keep up with Saint Nick, Google's has been pretty popular over the last five years.

Last year, more than eight million people made use of the software, and Google's hoping for an even bigger turnout tomorrow night. This year the company has added a Google Earth plug-in that works on the NORAD site to create a whole world right in your browser. Moreover, Santa's hip to all the new trends: You'll be able to follow him on your mobile device, via Twitter and by using real-time search.
