Will Transformers: Devastation be any good? Don't know, don't care. Look at this thing.

Devastation seems like an old-school beat 'em up coated in the skin of an '80s cartoon. The nefarious Megatron and his army of Decepticons are up to their old tricks, and only five Autobots are in a position to stop them: Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Sideswipe and Grimlock.

This one's the work of PlatinumGames, a studio that's built something of a brand around its diverse catalog of sharp-looking beat 'em ups -- all of which are driven by easy-to-learn,difficult-to-master combo mechanics. If you like those old-school coin-op arcade games like The Simpsons and X-Men, you already have a pretty good idea of what Platinum is about.
