Treemo, a media sharing service for the Web and mobile phones, has announced a $2.5 million round of funding lead by JK&B Capital. Like many companies in the space, Treemo looks to appeal to musicians and artists and build online communities around them. The company recently held a contest with Sony featuring the band Velvet Revolver.
