Recent Webby award winner Trulia is now launching an ad network, and perhaps the most important aspect of this move is the ability for Trulia to dig down on a local level, granting advertisers access to local markets. Some of Trulia's launch partners in the real estate publishing industry include Oodle (which is also hoping to better monetize its content), Homes & Land, and The Savvy Source.
As Mark noted in a recent podcast with Trulia, there's more to this real estate search engine than meets the eye. After updating its service to include Google Streetview Maps, it's clear that Trulia is branching out in as many aspects of the real estate industry as possible, and with around 10 million monthly uniques, its ad network has a large potential for distributed marketing efforts, narrowed in focus by certain demographics, geo-targeting, and more.
