Donald Trump unleashed a new attack on Florida Gov. Jeb Bush taking aim at him on the issue of immigration.

In a video posted to his Instagram account, Trump criticized Bush for suggesting that undocumented Mexican immigrants cross the border as an "act of love."

"Love? Forget love. It's time to get tough," the video's text says.

This is no "act of love" as Jeb Bush said... A video posted by Donald J. Trump (@realdonaldtrump) on Aug 31, 2015 at 9:16am PDT

The short video shows photos of several undocumented men, including Francisco Sanchez who was charged in the fatal shooting of an American woman on a pier in San Francisco, charged with high profile murders in recent months. Those images are combined with clips from the April 2014 interview Fox News where Bush said that undocumented immigrants who come to the United States in search of a better life for their children "broke the law, but it’s not a felony. It’s an act of love.”

Some have compared the Trump video to the infamous Willie Horton ad that was released by an independent group backing the Bush campaign in 1998.

This is disgusting and misleading. It makes the Willie Horton ad look like child's play. https://t.co/U4X0AnbG6m— Matt Lewis (@mattklewis) August 31, 2015

Is there an irony in Donald Trump going up with a Willie Horton-esque attack against Jeb Bush? https://t.co/DuxC3mZ77P— Steven Dennis (@StevenTDennis) August 31, 2015

The ad is considered by many to have changed the course of the 1988 presidential race.

In response to Trump's latest attack, a Bush spokesperson told Mashable that Bush has a record of "cracking down on violent criminals," in contrast to Trump who has supported "liberal, soft-on-crime politicians" until it was politically convenient.
