Donald Trump made a surprise appearance on the runway at Paris men's fashion week; but fortunately it wasn't in the flesh.

Models at Parisian fashion house Avoc's Autumn/Winter 2016 show were seen sporting the controversial latex headgear. This was the label's very first show at Paris fashion week, and it turned a few heads.

This was by no means a Trump endorsement. A post on the gender-neutral label's Instagram account described the show's theme as "Natural Born Pirates"; but given the total absence of any pirate paraphernalia, one can only assume that Avoc's pirate reference pertains to the presidential hopeful.

The label -- founded in 2013 by designers Bastien Laurent and Laura Do -- has certainly succeeded in its aim to be an unconventional fashion brand.

Trump wasn't the only presidential hopeful to make an appearance -- in mask form -- at Avoc's AW16 show. One model was seen parading a Hillary Clinton latex mask, and the likeness was uncanny.

Another model was seen wearing a George W. Bush mask, though his brother, and presidential hopeful, Jeb Bush's face was notable by its absence.

Avoc might be on to something with their Trump-inspired headgear.

During men's fashion week, London, street style stars were spotted wearing Trump's "Make America Great Again" campaign hat -- ironically, of course.

Fingers crossed the Trump trend doesn't take off.
