LONDON -- A disturbing new video campaign that depicts a woman being groped and intimidated on the Tube is prompting women to report sexual harassment on public transport in London.

The new campaign, which launched this week, was instigated by a survey that found one in 10 Londoners experienced unwanted sexual behaviour on public transport, but only 10% reported it to the police.

The "Report it to Stop it" video shows a woman encountering several scenarios while commuting on the Tube. After each the narrator asks the audience: "Would you report it?"

"The man in the grey suit is starring at you. Would you report it? ... He finds an excuse to lean into you. Would you report it? He pushes his groin right into you," the narrator says before the woman hurries off the Tube.

The video says women should report incidents by texting "what, where, when" to 61016.

“Everyone has the right to travel on the transport network safely, and we will not tolerate any unwanted sexual behaviour. We want the travelling public to feel confident that we take every sexual incident seriously no matter what has happened and we believe what is reported to us," Assistant Chief Constable of the British Transport Police Mark Newton said in a statement about the campaign.

Transport police have also set up a Tumblr that explains the types of unwanted sexual behaviour that people can report, such as rubbing, groping, masturbation, leering, sexual comments, indecent acts, or someone taking photos of without consent.
