LONDON -- Tulip-owning residents of the Dumfries and Galloway area of Scotland can finally rest easy; after a lengthy police investigation, a local flower-murderer has finally been apprehended.

Dumfries Galloway Police Division shared the update -- which explained how they'd arrested a 5-month-old lab called Dudley in an "early morning dawn raid" after following up several "leads" -- on their Facebook page on Monday morning.

The whole thing started Sept. 17, when local resident Craig Johnston reported the initial crime.

We don't know about you, but we think he looks guilty as sin.

Here's the full update from Dumfries Galloway Police Division.

"Murder Squad – Update

You may recall on 17th September 2015, Police were informed of a theft and a subsequent 'murder' (theft of hose, murder of tulips). The Murder squad quickly recovered CCTV from the locus of the ‘perp’ in the act and circulated the suspect’s image to officers.

You will be pleased to know, the murder squad followed up a number of 'leads' and identified the suspect as a 5 month old yellow lab named Dudley. He was arrested in an early morning dawn raid and will be appearing at court tomorrow where it is expected he will be sent to the big dog house."

Your tulip-terrorising days are over, Dudley.
