More than a ranking of popular vacation destinations, Tumblr's most reblogged cities of 2015 show what the Internet was talking about this year.
Tumblr's Year in Review looks at the people, places and topics that kept the web buzzing. Here are the places that got the most attention on the platform.
1. New York City
The Big Apple takes the top spot.
2. Baltimore
Baltimore was second among cities mentioned on Tumblr posts this year.
The ranking is representative of how important social justice issues are on the platform: Freddie Gray's death and the ensuing protests were top of mind among Tumblr's users.
The city is of course much more than its recent headlines -- perhaps this ranking will give Baltimore more attention.
3. Paris
From the outpouring in the wake of the Paris attacks to the UN climate talks to a leading reputation as one of the best cities on the planet, Paris is an obviously popular city.
4. London

6. Tokyo
Japan's largest city has about 13 million people in it.
With that population, it's a surprise it didn't rank higher on the list.
7. Chicago

Chicago was also the location of protests for justice this year.
8. Toronto
Canada's largest city -- with about 2.6 million people -- is up next. Toronto has more going on than many southern neighbors realize.

9. Seattle
Blue sky this morning! :) Enjoy today's brief rain break, the next round of rain starts tomorrow. #Seattle #sunrise pic.twitter.com/yrRQPSX9yu— Mara Leite (@TheMNVL) December 9, 2015
The lovely Pacific Northwest city rounds out the list. Even though Seattle has a reputation for rain, there are actually plenty of perfectly gorgeous days -- so if you haven't been, don't let the image of gray skies deter you.
