And yet it's not just amusing pictures and re-blogged content: Tumblr is also home to original prose, artwork, thought pieces, music and editorial writing; a diversity that inspired graphic designer Matt McInerney to host the Tumblr Awards. The winners of this unofficial community vote were announced on Friday.
