The music storage and sharing site, TunesBag, has recently undergone a facelift to include new social features including FriendFeed support.

TunesBag provides users with a place to upload music and access it at any time from any place via internet browser or mp3 player. Users have the ability to add friends, search for recommended music based on their own or their friend's interests, and share their music with up to 15 people.

TunesBag, created by Austrian music-lover, Hansjorg Posch, offers 5GB of free uploads for anyone to backup their music collection and share it legally. According to Posch who has a PhD in Law, under Austrian copyright laws it is legal to share backup copies of files with private user groups.

As far as sharing music goes, the TunesBag experience is very similar to sharing your iTunes library with other libraries on the same internet connection/WiFi network. Sure, TunesBag provides access from the Web, but I think I would want to share my music with more than 15 people. And when it comes to storage, MP3Tunes offers a very similar service -- even allowing you to have remote access to your collection.

The neat part about TunesBag, however, is that music tracks automatically link to the song's YouTube videos and there is also a web crawling service that will find out more information about a certain track from public sources on the internet.

Besides, I have been looking for a service that recommends music like Pandora or Last.fm but that also recommends music based on my friend's interests and keeps my own music and playlists available.

With the new version of TunesBag, users can experience seamless Facebook and YouTube integration. Your TunesBag friend list can be your Facebook friend list, and vice versa. There is also a MiniFeed that displays updates on what is happening and a Community Bar that has information about the track you're currently listening to. Better yet, all the information can also be published to FriendFeed.
