LONDON -- New footage emerged Monday showing the moment when a gunman began his attack on a hotel resort in a coastal town in Tunisia, which left 38 dead and dozens wounded.

The video obtained by Sky News captures the scene inside the Imperial Marhaba Hotel's grounds when 24-year-old Seifeddine Rezgui starts his attack on the nearby beach. Gunfire and a larger explosion can both be heard during the footage.

The video shows local men and hotel workers searching for the gunman, trying to identify him. When the person recording the video sees Rezgui, with a Kalashnikov assault rifle in hand, he picks up a glass bottle, arming himself.

As the man moves towards the beach and takes in the devastating scene, people are seen approaching Rezgui as he tries to flee, shortly after he's gunned down by security forces.

Tunisia's interior ministry said Sunday they believe Rezgui carried out the gun attack alone, but likely had accomplices who supported him beforehand. Investigators believe the suspected accomplices provided the Kalashnikov rifle to Rezgui and helped him get to the scene.
