Some people are saying that this is the golden age of television. And they're right. TV has never been this good.

But now that special effects software and film tools are now not only more affordable for indie productions, but also more sophisticated, a quiet shift is happening in the world of short films and music videos. That shift is giving birth to amazingly well done short form works that rival the work of Hollywood. The latest example is Turbo Killer.

Directed by Paris-based Seth Ickerman, the music video for the electronic music band Carpenter Brut is a brief dip into what first appears to be hell, but later turns out to be something more in the realm of science fiction. No, we're not going to spoil it for you, but we can tell you that the four-minute video includes teleporting go-go dancers, an epic death race better than any seen in the Fast and Furious and a satanic spaceship straight out of Damien: Omen II.
