Update: Price is $96.8 million, says Alarm Clock. No offense to Twango, but that's way too much.

Nokia has acquired Twango, the feature-rich media sharing site. substantially all assets of Twango have been taken on by Nokia, which will soon offer users a way to share content on the web as well as on their mobile devices.

The plan is to provide a seamless integration of Twango on both the Internet and on your cell phone. This will make room for a new way for people to share content and stay connected. With the ability to share photos, videos, Twango's availability in an integrated, cross-platform existence will offer access to friends and their content, as well as a way to organize and manage your own content.

Twango has recently added Google Earth into its own suite of services, creating a new, visual way for users to find each other and share information about their content. Nokia is clearly looking to offer more social tools with its mobile offering, as it's developing Widsets and working with companies like Jaiku in order to do so.
