UPDATE: Mashable community member PresHarryTruman pointed out to us that on Oct. 16, the Twitter account PimpTJefferson sent a nearly identical tweet to the one that Curran sent out on Monday night. It appears that the tweet may have been re-shared by Curran without giving credit to the original author. We wrote about that account here.

Patrick Curran is a college student at Boston University, set to graduate in 2015. He is in a fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He has 395 Twitter followers.

He's just another guy -- and a perfect example that anything that anyone posts can go viral on the Internet.

The tweet below, which he sent a few hours before the foreign policy debate between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, has gone wildly viral. As of 10:30 PM, the tweet has been retweeted over 15,000 times.

Mitt Romneys five point plan1. To the left2. Take it back now y'all3. Right foot let's stomp4. Left foot let's stomp5. Cha Cha now yall— Patrick Curran (@Pcurran86) October 22, 2012

During the debate, while the tweet started to pick up steam, Curran celebrated his Tweet's success.

I currently have 124 retweets on my Romney Five step tweet. Im a celebrity— Patrick Curran (@Pcurran86) October 23, 2012

Thousands upon thousands of retweets later, Curran put it simply:

I think I just became famous— Patrick Curran (@Pcurran86) October 23, 2012
