The East Festival -- boasting a "uniquely rich creative mix of East London" -- will be documented in part by the "Twike", a two-wheeled creation from Pete Fowler, who is no doubt tired of being described as the Super Furry Animal's in-house artist.

The Twike for the East Festival has been fitted with a cell phone programmed to tweet out messages when it comes within range of key areas of the festival.

Fowler, and the Chance Collective, a London-based digital and social media creative agency behind the project, hopes it will encourage people to follow the bike online - as well as offline around the festival.

If you like the look of this tasty Twitter-themed mode of transport then you can check out the Flickr photo set, as well as see the overall progress of the Twike via a Google Maps mash-up to be released at the end of the festival, or follow the overall festival news via @eastfestival.

It's an innovative use of mobile tech and Twitter to offer a more interactive view of a live event - you can hit the video below for more visuals.
