TwitchTV is a new take on esports -- live streamed video of professional, competitive video gamers who broadcast their screens and commentators who announce the games.

TwitchTV will feature broadcasts of all kinds of games, including StarCraft, Call of Duty, Halo and World of Warcraft.

The site also features cached videos in addition to live broadcasts, and users can follow their favorite broadcasters.

Some might wonder whether there's a market for watching others play video games. But TwitchTV's stats show a robust interest in this kind of content.

A Justin.tv rep tells Mashable that the site, which launched Monday, already saw more than 3 million unique users each month and 45 million video views a month during its pre-launch period. Each visitor watched about four-and-a-half hours of video every month.

Justin.tv's other recently launched product was Socialcam, a mobile, social, live-video-sharing app for iPhone and Android.
