Twitter unveiled at least three new climate-related emoji to mark the U.N. Climate Summit, which is activated using the hashtag #COP21. More than 140 world leaders, including President Obama, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping, are in Paris for the high-stakes event.
The summit is aimed at forging the first-ever truly global agreement to cut emissions of planet warming greenhouse gases.

Many climate scientists and activists view the gathering of at least 40,000 diplomats, world leaders and members of civil society organizations as the last chance to limit global warming to the globally agreed target of 2 degrees Celsius, or 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit, above pre-industrial levels.
If global warming exceeds this target, scientists warn that the world could see severe global warming impacts, from deadly extreme weather events to devastating amounts of sea level rise, food shortages and national security crises.
