Twitter has launched the Japanese-centric version of their service, according to a live report from CenterNetworks Japanese correspondent Robert Sanzalone. The launch was simulcast via UStream, where Biz Stone and other Twitterfolk gave answers to the Japanese audience by way of translators.
The big surprise of the announcement was that of the deployment of advertisments in Twitter, an odd about-face for the company who only recently loudly proclaimed a few days ago that there were no advertisements in Twitter.
